We are in the 4th industrial revolution now. In this revolution, we are trying to automate every equipment we have as much as possible. Therefore IoT has become trending.
As an example, after you come to the home you can turn on your light bulbs by saying ‘I’m Home!’ You have to set Philips hue lights in your home and connect them to an Apple home pod or Alexa device.
There are so many industries. So many professionals are working there. They should recognize anything that can be automated in their industry, find the solution and take the basic step for it. To do this we have to learn to handle programmable computers, connect sensors to them and insert a program to a programmable computer and run it.
All this time only software engineers focused on computer programs. Because that is their job. But in this 4th industrial revolution, all the professionals have to study about this. In future, programming is a very normal thing AKA modern common sense.
if we can see the code output in the real-world or if we can interact with it, this may be interesting to all. if you like to experience this, you can use computers like Arduino, Raspberry pie etc.
MagicBit is a computer programmable computer which is designed and developed in Sri Lanka. MagicBit is a small computer. This has an OLED display and two buttons. We can control our program using these buttons. And this has a small speaker to generate a sound. You can write a program using your normal computer and upload it to MagicBit and see how it work. You can learn programming very interesting by using this computer. Also can gain knowledge about robotics and electrics. You can study widely about IoT.
MagicBit has built-in Bluetooth. so you can connect with your mobile phone and control it. or you can control another device using the MagicBit board. And MagicBit board has built-in WiFi. Whenever you are in the world, you can control the MagicBit board. MagicBit board has a light sensor. Using this you can measure light intensity.
As an example, you need to turn on your lights in your garden at night automatically. and turn off them in the morning. You can program this using MagicBit easily.
You can connect spare sensors to the MagicBit board and control using your program. temperature sensor, humidity sensor or soil moisture sensor. You can do a lot using these sensors and with your creative ideas.
You can easily program with MagicBit by connecting with the computer from USB. Even if you haven’t more programming knowledge!
In this 4th industrial revolution, programming is becoming common sense. So everyone should know to program. Even a 10 years old child. Try with a MagicBit board. Write a small program. Try to automate something in your home! This will really easy with MagicBit.
