We can access a small area of the web pages on the internet using search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo. This area is called the surface web. This area is about 4%. The remaining 96% area is belonging to the dark and deep web. In a simple way, the Dark web is the area that we can not search using a search engine.

What are the things that we cannot access?

Consider our Google drive. It belongs to the internet but anyone cant access it’s data using a search engine accept us. If they have the URL of the driver, they can not access it without our permission.

Details about banks or companies are in databases like this. This data can be accessed only by authorized persons and we cannot. Since we can not access these data, the exact amount cannot be stated.

The main difference between the deep web and the dark web is we can access the dark web using a special web browser. (Tor)

The basic thing that this browser does is, encrypts our internet traffic. If someone has stolen our data, he cannot read the data, when you search any web page in the dark web your browser and the website are not directly connecting. They are connecting through another hundred servers. Therefore, anyone cannot trace you.

Most of the things on the dark web are illegal businesses. The dark web is a good place for illegal businesses because no one can trace you. These include drugs, weapons, human and organ trafficking.

In the dark web, payments are done with Bitcoins. Therefore we lose the payment tracking capability also.
